How this ranking works
We track the cheapest listing for each CS2 skin across 15 third-party markets and compare each one to the current Steam Community Market price. The Avg discount column shows the average percentage below Steam's price across every skin we track within the selected tier — the higher the number, the cheaper the market on average. The Best on column counts how many skins in the tier are cheapest on that market specifically — a useful tiebreaker between markets with similar averages.
Marketplace types for buyers
- Marketplace — user listings, site takes a cut. Best balance of selection and price. Examples: Skinport, market.csgo.com, DMarket.
- P2P — direct user-to-user via escrow. Lower fees, more negotiation. Examples: CSFloat, Waxpeer.
- Store — site-owned inventory, instant delivery, fixed prices. Example: LIS-Skins.
- Insta-sell — one-way sell-to-site; not relevant for buying.
Trustpilot + traffic signals
A market with 3,000+ reviews at 4.5 stars is generally safer than a newer site with a handful of ratings. Monthly visits correlates with liquidity — more buyers usually means faster deliveries and competitive pricing. Lower-traffic sites sometimes price more aggressively to attract customers.
Why Steam Community Market is the baseline
Steam's Community Market is the universal reference price. Since every listing there includes Steam's ~15% fee bundle, it gives a stable apples-to-apples comparison for every skin. Rankings recompute from the latest parse — check the snapshot time below the table. Prices shift minute-by-minute on fast-moving items, so verify the live price before checking out.
Buying tips
- Start with the top-ranked markets in your tier, then compare the specific skin on 2–3 of them before buying.
- Check the Buy fee and Deposit fee for your payment method — they can add 3–5% to the sticker price.
- For cheap skins (under $10), a flat deposit fee can eat a big share of the discount — prefer markets with 0% crypto deposits.
- Compare float/pattern on the market itself; a 30% discount on a low-float knife may still be worse than a full-price good-float alternative.
