View rankings for this tier →What makes a CS2 skin "liquid"?
A liquid CS2 skin is one you can buy or sell in minutes, at a fair price, without having to discount heavily or wait days for a match. The three markers are listing depth (dozens to thousands of active sell orders), cross-market presence (the same skin trades on 10+ marketplaces), and a tight bid-ask spread (min and max across markets are close). We only track skins that clear all three bars.
How we group skins into price tiers
Each skin is slotted into one of 7 tiers based on its current Steam Community Market price: ≤ $10, $10–$50, $50–$100, $100–$250, $250–$500, $500–$1K, and > $1K. Tiers are recomputed daily from Steam's lowest-sell price, so a skin can graduate up or down a tier as the market moves.
How we compute Min / Avg / Max prices
For every skin we fetch the lowest active sell listing from 15 third-party marketplaces — Skinport, CSFloat, LIS-Skins, DMarket, Buff163, BitSkins, SkinBaron, Mannco.store, Waxpeer, ShadowPay, White.Market, GamerPay, market.csgo.com, IGXE and SIH Market — once per day. Min is the cheapest offer across all of them (best buy). Max is the highest (best payout if you're selling). Avg is the mean across markets that returned a price.
Why trade on third-party CS2 marketplaces?
Steam's wallet is locked — once your money is on the Steam Market, you can't cash out. Third-party marketplaces let you withdraw in real currency, crypto, or stable skins, and most charge lower fees than Steam's 15% bundle. The trade-offs are trust and delivery speed, which is why our rankings page scores each market on Trustpilot rating, monthly traffic, and fee structure.
Liquid skins vs. rare unique items
Extremely high-end items — rare patterns, low-float knives, tournament stickers — often have zero active listings because each copy is unique. Those live in a dealer market, not a liquid one, and are outside the scope of this page. Everything below is a high-volume staple: AKs, M4s, AWPs, popular pistols, and common knife/glove finishes that change hands every day.
